Disclosure: I am part of the Timewyse Locket blogger program with Influence Central and I received special perks as part of my affiliation with this group. The opinions on this blog are my own.
When Jonathan was born I documented everything, the exact day and time that he sat up, his first taste of baby food, the first time he partly rolled over and a whole list of words. I took pictures daily and have thousands of images on an external hard drive, and three scrapbooks made from just his first year. He was our first-born, the first grandchild, and everything was so new, each and every experience no matter how little it was. When our second child was born, I took pictures almost daily for the first couple of weeks, but then they soon became staggered. I never did have his one year old pictures taken professionally, and I still regret it to this day, as he has grown up too quick. While I did document the major milestones, I didn’t write down nearly as much as I did with our first child.
Before I had an iPhone, I only took pictures when I had access to my camera, which was only at home since it is too large to fit in my purse. I now find myself always taking pictures of the kids on-the-go, whether it’s at the park, at a friends hour or at hockey practice. Milestones don’t just end when children learn to walk, they go on for many years as they learn how to swim, learn how to cross the monkey bars, learn how to skate for the first time, ect, and I have been able to capture those moments on my smartphone.

There’s no having to scribble down a note on a piece of paper and hope that it doesn’t get lost, before I get it marked in their scrapbooks. The free Timewyse Life Locket App prompts users to capture and record their children’s special moments & details and automatically creates video montages, e-timelines and photo albums.
With the Timewyse Life Locket App you can:

*Months/Year are documented to help keep track of time.
‘Snip It’
One of my favorite features is the “snip it” option, it prompts an idea, either recording a specific message/song, writing a short story, taking a photo, or video. These are photo’s, videos, or notes that I would not normally think of to take.
Sample prompts;
- Take a video of T singing his favorite song.
- Take a picture of T with the family pets(s).
- Take a photo of T and his family in this pose.
- Capture a photo of T jumping in the air.
- Record or write about something that T did recently that surprised or shocked you.
Every so often when we visit my mom, my sister and I will reminisce about our childhood, and look through the photo albums and watch the home videos. The videos are my favorite part as it shows how I used to talk and act, all the videos are at least 30 minutes long as my aunt would record almost an entire birthday party or holiday. I haven’t recorded too many videos of the kids, they are usually just short little clips, so the Timewyse Life Locket app has been reminding me to capture those special moments, like doing their ABCs, reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, and simply just recording how they talk.
Share Instantly with Friends and Family:
I grew up surrounded by both my mom’s side of the family and my dad’s side of the family, and I always imagined raising my children surrounded by my parents and siblings. But life had other plans, and we do not live close to any of our family. By using the Timewyse Life Locket App, I can instantly email the photos, videos, and audio recording to my parents or my in-laws to see. Even though they live miles and miles away, and only get to see the children once a year, they can still be part of their life and watch them grow.
Don’t miss capturing any more milestones.
