As the parents of two active boys my husband and I decided early on that we would enroll the boys in a variety of sports and see which ones they enjoyed best. At 3 years old they were both started soccer, J is now going into his 4th year while T is going into his second. While we never push them to do a sport, we certainly promote it. It’s important for us that they not only remain active but meet new friends and interact with new children. Both of the boys enjoy soccer and have recently taken an interest into baseball which they both started a couple months ago. Hockey has also become their go-to winter sport and they are both looking to starting back up in the next few months.
Playing sports comes with a cost not only to the player’s family but to the organization as well whether is purchasing team apparel, equipment or paying for ice time. Teams nationwide can earn sponsorships through PearUp.com. Pear is a social engagement platform that helps teams earn sponsorships from brands, the sponsors have money to donate, but don’t always know where to donate so Pear is there to help connect the sponsors with the teams.
Earning a sponsorship is completely free. To get started, there are a few short steps.
- Find a sponsor and create a sponsorship page. For example, Safeskin Youth Sports Wraps will sponsor up to up to $1,000 towards custom T-Shirts.
- Once a sponsor is selected have friends & family members score points by interacting with the sponsor and inviting others to join. The more points you get= the closer to the $1,000 award you’ll receive.
- After 10 days the points can be redeemed for a sponsorship award that you have chosen. For the Safeskin sponsorship, the reward can be redeemed as soon as you receive it at any participating Pear printer partner.
