Now that school is back in session so are all of the activities. This year not only is Jacob playing soccer, but Tyler is also and they are both in hockey twice a week. If dinner time was not already hectic enough, now the days are getting even busier. There are some nights that I have an hour to prep/cook dinner, but other nights like Fridays I need something quick and easy before hockey. For quick dinner’s my mother used to turn to Hamburger Helper, and now as a mother myself I realize how convenient having a meal kit really is. This past week we tried out Ultimate Hamburger Helper Three Cheese Marinara and Betty Crocker Ultimate Cheddar Mashed Potatoes.
We were having dinner with my sister, brother, and mother and once they spotted the new Ultimate Helper mixes they wanted to give it a try also – none of us have eaten Hamburger Helper in years, so it brought us back to our childhood. I doubled dinner to make sure there was plenty for everyone and made two boxes instead of one. I also doubled the potatoes, two portions come in one potato box.
Along with the 3 boxes of Ultimate Hamburger Helper Three Cheese Marinara and Betty Crocker Ultimate Cheddar Mashed Potatoes that we received, we also received 3-piece bamboo serving bowls, a serving spoon, and four plates. We have plain old white plates, so these new plates added a bit of design and color to our table. Plus I’m trying to get away from “kid/baby” plates that we have used for years, so these new plates are perfect for the kids, light and not breakable.
The Ultimate Hamburger Helper Three Cheese Marinara and Betty Crocker Ultimate Cheddar Mashed Potatoes were a huge hit with the boys, we were able to enjoy a delicious family dinner without all of the prep work. The only thing I had to do was make sure we had thawed hamburger, everything else was included in the kits – seasoning, sauce, and noodles.
