Do you ever find yourself looking at your child and wishing you could just stop time? I do…especially with all of the big events happening this month.
It’s hard to imagine that 5 1/2 years ago I was on my way to the hospital in labor, excited and nervous at becoming a mom for the first time, now I’m sending my oldest off to kindergarten and my youngest off to preschool. If that’s not hard enough my three year old just learned how to ride a bike without training wheels, they both started hockey for the first time this past week, and Tyler has also started soccer, they’re no longer babies that need to be held and cuddled every night.
I enjoy watching them grow and accomplish new things, but boy do I miss that baby/toddler stage. Being able to hold them and snuggle with them whenever I wanted. I never thought I would take pushing them in a stroller for granted, lately Tyler has been refusing to sit in one, he’s a big boy. He has grown up a lot quicker then I anticipated trying to keep up with his older brother.
As I watched the new Gymboree video about Cherishing Childhood memories I couldn’t help but think about all of those precious moments in our life. From watching my children walk for the first time, to playing at the park, and going tubing by themselves this past summer.
Today we will be celebrating cherished moments in childhood, as well as creating new ones.
What are your favorite cherished childhood moments?
