When it comes to baby gear one company I have grown to love is Britax. I have gone through my share of car seats and strollers throughout the past few years, and Britax is always on the top of my list. We use our Britax B-READY numerous times a week, it has become my go-to double stroller and we are always getting compliments. The B-READY is great, but for small trips to the store or park and our family vacations to Michigan and New Hampshire we have been needing a smaller lightweight stroller that will fit easily in the back of the Camry. The B-NIMBLE is Britax’s lightweight stroller. It weighs only 13 lbs without the canopy and is very convenient for parents on the go.
Britax B-NIMBLE Features:
- Large canopy with sun visor and peek-a-boo window
- Simple fold with automatic chassis lock
- Removable/reversible seat liner pad
- Parent storage pouch and large under-seat storage compartment
- Multiple Position Recline
- Shoulder carry strap
- All-Wheel Suspension provides for a smooth ride
- Travel System compatible with other major infant car seat brands
- Included
accessories: Adult cup holder, Rain cover, CLICK & GO BRITAX infant
car seat adapters, Adapter strap to be used with other major infant car
seat brands
Being a lightweight stroller I didn’t think the B-NIMBLE would have as many of the great features as full size strollers do, but I was wrong. The B-NIMBLE has everything you need in a lightweight stroller: a five point harness, an all-wheel suspension, the ability to recline, easily folding, easy to clean, a parent pouch, a cup holder, under-seat storage, ability to use as a travel system and last but not least – compact and lightweight!
The Britax B-NIMBLE stroller was very easy to put together, within minutes it was out of the box and ready to use. I love when baby gear or anything comes practically assembled, all I had to do was put on two wheels and put on the canopy and the B-NIMBLE was ready to use. This stroller features a large canopy with sun visor which comes in handy on sunny walks along the beach boardwalk or on windy days. There is also a peek-a-boo window built into the visor which allows you to check on your child without closing the canopy or walking around the stroller. The B-NIMBLE offers a multiple position recline which allows your child to easily sleep in the stroller instead of sleeping sitting up and
getting a sore neck. All four wheels can be locked, to lock the wheels in the front you simply press down the lever on each wheel, and on the back two wheels you simple press the lever with your foot to engage/disengage the break.
Cup Holder & Added Storage:
One of the main features I like in a stroller is a cup-holder and a small storage area for keys or my cell phone. Most lightweight strollers do not come with a convenient parent compartment, and when you have the seat reclined it is hard to get in the under-seat storage. The B-NIMBLE offers a parent storage pouch at the back of the stroller which is great to put my wallet in as well as a few diapers and wipes. There is also a large under-seat storage compartment if I decide to bring my pocket book or need to store a small bag with snacks and a change of clothes for the boys. The under-seat compartment can be hard to get at when the seat is reclined so if I know I am going to need something I place it in the parent storage pouch so I do not have to risk waking one of the boys up trying to reach underneath the seat.
Compact/Great For Traveling:
The B-NIMBLE folds very easily and is very compact. It fits in the trunk of my Camry and leaves plenty of room for bags or luggage, if my trunk is full it also can fit on the floor in my backseat. The Britax B-NIMBLE comes with a shoulder carry strap and since it is lightweight is great for traveling or walking through the airport.
Travel System Compatible:
The B-NIMBLE comes with Click & Go Britax infant car seat adapters, as well as an adapter strap that has to be used when using other major infant car seat brands. The B-NIMBLE is compatible with many name brand infant car seats such as the Chicco Key Fit, Chicco Key Fit 30, Graco Snugride 32, Graco Snugride 35, and Peg Perego Primo Viaggio. With Little Man we had a full size travel system, the stroller was always a pain to get in my trunk, especially if it was full of bags, and I hated it. I have never before seen a lightweight stroller be used as a travel system, the ability to use the B-NIMBLE as a lightweight stroller and as a travel system is very convenient.
Improvements:
There are two improvements that could be done to the B-NIMBLE, the first is the seat recline and the second is the cup holder. The seat recline uses a adjustable nylon strap to recline, I would much prefer a handle to recline. Handles are easier to use and only require one free hand while the adjustable nylon strap requires two hands. If you are trying to put the seat up, you need one hand to push the seat up while using the other hand to push up the nylon strap release to raise the seat. The cup holder comes off very easily, whether it was picking up the stroller or putting it in my trunk the cup holder came off a number of times.
Overall, the Britax B-NIMBLE is a great lightweight stroller, it has all of the features I would want in a lightweight stroller and more including the ability to attach an infant car seat.
