If you are avid Mommy’s Fabulous Find’s reader you will already know that Britax has my children’s safety in mind for not only car seats but strollers as well. Their products are always one step ahead and never cease to amaze me. Jacob currently rides in the Britax Frontier in our SUV and our Britax B-READY Double gets compliments on a daily basis. Our Britax B-NIMBLE is also great for traveling with limited space.
Having two young boys I was excited to be introduced to the Brtiax B-AGILE Double at the What To Expect Natick Event this past May, after seeing all of the great features I couldn’t wait until it was available to the public.
When we were pregnant with our second son, Tyler, I was hesitant of getting a tandem double stroller. All of the isles in stores looked small and the last thing I wanted to do was hassle with a stroller while I was trying to shop. After shopping with the Britax B-AGILE Double this week at the mall as well as Kohls, my initial thoughts were proven wrong.

The Britax B-AGILE Double measures in at less-then-30.5 inches wide and can fit through standard doorways. It features a lightweight aluminum frame, height adjustable handle, all-wheel suspension and linked parking brake that locks both rear wheels.
The B-AGILE Double can be used for children from birth up to 50 lbs per seat. The boys only weight 26 and 35 lbs each which leaves plenty of room for growth. In addition to the individual seat, the B-AGILE Double can also be used as a travel system, the CLICK & GO integrated adapter system allows one Britax Chaperone or B-Safe infant seat to be attached for newborns and infants.
The no re-thread, adjustable, five-point harness comes in handy when having to change the harness heights, I know I’m not the only one who doesn’t enjoy taking the harness apart and having the hassle of re-threading it through a small hole to get the correct height. The five-point harness keeps the boys safe while the padded seats keep them comfy during walks. The infinite seat recline positions are great for nap time on the go, you can easily recline one seat while leaving the other seat in the upright position.
Each seat has it’s own separate large canopy with ventilation windows, the canopies can be placed at different lengths, and when fully extended they are large enough to almost completely cover the child. The boys don’t always want the canopy extended so I am able to fully extend one canopy while leaving the other canopy partially extended or fully closed. Tyler still takes naps during the day and it is great to just fully extend one side to keep him covered.
One feature that I love about the Britax B-AGILE Double that I have not seen in other tandem strollers is that the large under seat storage is accessible through the front foot rests, this is a huge help when trying to get the diaper bag in or out when the seats are reclined. You simply zip and unzip the front footrest for access to the under seat storage. The opening is wide and I am easily able to get our diaper bag in and out.
Although there are no cup holders included with the B-AGILE Double there are two additional storage pockets behind the seats which are great for storing keys, a cell phone or a bottle of water. There underneath storage is big enough for a diaper bag, additional shopping bags and even our small cooler for days at the park.
The B-AGILE Double folds up fairly easy and different then any other stroller that I have had. There is a gray release button on the side that you press, and once you press that you can pull up on the labeled belts on the seats which will then allow the stroller to fold. Once you pull on the belts the stroller folds up very quick so I have learned to take my time and do it slowly, if not the handlebar folds down toward the ground quick and can scratch on the pavement. Our handlebar is slightly scratched already which was a bummer, so I have learned to lift up the stroller while I am doing it to prevent the handlebar from scratching more.
I was impressed with how little room the B-AGILE Double took up in the trunk of my Camry. I expected to have a lot less room available, but it closed up fairly small, for a double stroller (30.5 x 13 x 30.5 ). There is plenty of room left in my trunk for grocery and shopping bags.
Overall, I was very impressed with the Britax B-AGILE Double and how it handled. I thought I would have a lot of trouble at stores, but was proven wrong. There were some slim isles that I could not go down, but almost every isle directly after was wider and I could fit through. The ability to access the storage from the front is a huge plus, and made getting my wallet or sippy cup out of the diaper bag a lot easier.
The boys love sitting side by side and talking with each other throughout our morning strolls. They laugh, they talk, and they love pointing and showing each other new things they have found. When I asked them what stroller they liked best, they instantly shouted “the new red one”.
Britax has exceeded my expectations and you can easily see that the Britax company had mom, baby, and safety in mind when designing the B-AGILE Double.
