How to make Halloween Cake Pops:
Cake pops have become quite popular in recent years, and no matter what occasion I make them for, the kids are always raving about them. They’re the first dessert to go when it comes to birthday celebrations, classroom parties, and holidays. Once you make them once or twice, it gets a lot easier. Seeing the smiles on all of the children’s faces, is worth the time commitment. The mummy cake pops are the easiest to make, just drizzle white chocolate on them and place two candy eyeballs.
Where to buy candy eyes?
The candy eyeballs can be found at local craft stores including JoAnn Fabrics, Michael’s, AC Moore, Walmart, or on Amazon.
Mummy Cake Pop:
- Dip cake pop into melted white chocolate candy.
- Once hardened, drizzle additional white chocolate stripes to create the wrapped mummy look.
- Top with clear sprinkles and pipe two eyes using chocolate candy melts or use candy eyes.
Pumpkin Cake Pop:
- Dip into melted orange candy.
- Allow to set for a few minutes to harden, pipe a green stem and eyes.
Frankenstein Cake Pop:
- Dip into melted green candy, then dip the top into chocolate sprinkles.
- Once hardened, pipe eyes and a mouth using brown or black melted candy.
Tips for making cake pops:
Use a cake pop stand: To make decorating easier, you can place the Halloween Cake pops in a cake pop stand. The stands are also a neat and decorative way to display these delicious treats.
Make sure to chill the cake balls before decorating or they may be too soft and fall apart.
To save on time, prepare the cake balls a day before, place in refrigerator and decorate the following day.
