Thank-you to Yvolution for providing a Y Flyer Scooter.
Any day of the week you can stop by my house and see a handful of kids playing street hockey, working on their bike paths in our backyard or riding scooters in the driveway. My kids don’t sit inside watching T.V. or playing on their tablets or game systems all day, they only get their Nintendo DS during certain times, mainly rainy days and car rides. It was how I was raised and how my children will be raised, kids need to be kids and play outside.
It’s not too often that you see a neighborhood full of kids playing outside anymore, so when we recently moved we hit the jackpot with not only a friendly neighborhood, but also a neighborhood full of kids that are raised just like mine, with a limit on technology and a love for the outdoors.
With our house being in the center of the neighborhood it has become one of the main hangout spots among all the neighborhood kids, which I don’t mind one bit. I love looking out back and seeing kids running around, I always dreamed of having a house with a big backyard and driveway for the kids.
When the opportunity arises, I enjoy adding fun outdoor toys to help them stay active. With our Y Fliker recently breaking which my kids were pretty upset about, the new Yvolution Y Flyer scooter could not have arrived at a more perfect time.
Yvolution Y Flyer:
Our Yvolution Y Fliker was one of the most popular outdoor riding toys among the kids, so I couldn’t wait to see what they thought of the new Yvoultion Y Flyer. The Y Flyer is a self-propelling stepper scooter that helps kids stay active and gives them a whole new way to ride a scooter as they have to step up and down on the foot plates to increase speed.
It didn’t take long before the Y Flyer was the talk of the kids as they all eagerly waited to give it a try. Just like our previous Yvolution Fliker scooter, the Y Flyer quickly became a favorite. It seems to take all of the kids a minute to get used to the way it handles and turns as it is different from the regular scooters, but after the initial ride is over, they quickly learn how to maneuver it and balance their bodies.
As a mom, the kickstand was one of my favorite features, and should come on all scooters. I can’t tell you how many times I almost tripped over a scooter laying on the garage floor and have to tell the kids to move it out of the way. In addition to the kickstand, the Y Flyer also folds for quick storage or travel.
Prepare for an epic riding experience with the Yvolution Y Flyer!
The Y Flyer is recommended for children ages seven and up, with a maximum weight of 150 pounds.
It is currently available nationwide online and in-stores exclusively at Toys“R”Us.
