Can you believe there is only two more days until Thanksgiving? I look forward to the holiday season, and being able to spend time with our loved ones that we do not get to see too often. This year will be celebrating Thanksgiving twice, Thanksgiving day will be spent at my aunts house surrounded by family and Sunday we will be hosting a Thanksgiving lunch/dinner with friends. Good food, good friends & family, and of course football! I can’t recall a Thanksgiving where football wasn’t involved.

Thanksgiving morning starts off with the traditional high school Thanksgiving Day football game, where our town plays the rivals. While we haven’t had the best streak, I’m hoping this year will be different. Then we head off to my aunts house where there is more football, Thanksgiving lunch, more football, and more food. There’s always the same few that hang out in the kitchen chatting, while the other half are in living room either yelling or cheering at the television. Living in New England and being Patriots fan, it’s always more exciting when they play on Thanksgiving, but unfortunately they’re not playing this year.

Although the New England Patriots do not play on Thanksgiving we will be cheering them on Sunday with a little help with NFL’s Homegating collection, with hopes of making it an 8th streak win. My husband and I both enjoy hosting get-togethers and having our house filled with friends. I tend to go overboard when it comes to prepping food as I can’t just choose one or two recipes to make, I always have to try at least a couple new recipes, and have to make the regular favorites as well.
