The boys love everything Super Mario, which I can’t blame them for since I was a huge Super Mario fan myself as a child. They also love building, so when the Super Mario 3D Land Prongo Building Set arrived from K’NEX they were jumping for joy. It happened to be a rainy weekend so we decided to put together their new K’NEX set together to help stimulate imaginative play.
Super Mario 3D Land Prongo Building Set
The Prongo Building Set is more complex than the previous sets we have owned and it took a little bit to put together – I had to do it myself. It is geared more towards older children who are 8 or older so my oldest who is 5 1/2 years old was too young to put it together, but he enjoyed playing with it once it was constructed. Two characters are included a buildable Tanooki Mario™ figure and Prongo figure.
The K’NEX Prongo Building Set brings the action and excitement of the Super Mario 3D Land game to the table, start at the Warp Pipe entrance and use the jump panels to move Mario throughout the course. There are hidden rooms with a trap door panel and a pop-up Goal Flag at the end, just like when you complete a level in the video game, and don’t forget to catch all of the coins and Star Medals!
As a Super Mario fan growing up, I enjoy seeing the my children play with the same characters that I spent so many wonderful years with. I have often found myself sitting on the floor getting in on all of the game-play action with the K’NEX Nintendo Super Mario 3D Land Prongo Building Set, reliving my childhood memories.
