Loon Mountain offers the perfect ski vacation in the winter and also the perfect vacation during the summer. If you’re looking for Things to Do In Lincoln, NH, there are activities for everyone in the family at the Loon Mountain.
Lincoln is located in New Hampshire’s White Mountains, just a short drive from Franconia Notch State Park and the Kancamangus Highway.
Explore Loon Mountain throughout the summer and fall, not just winter. Start your day off by soaring to Loon’s Summit on NH’s Longest Scenic Skyride. Once at top, climb the Observation Tower for amazing views of the mountain and explore the summit glacial caves. Back at the base, soar through the air on the Zipline, bounce and flip in the Bungee Trampoline, and see if you can reach the top of the Climbing Wall.
Put your sense of direction to test in the LogJam Maze, group up into teams and see who will conquer the challenge first. Let the kids bounce around and shoot some hoops in the Bunyan’s Bouncin’ Backyard, and test their climbing skills in the SpiderWeb. End your day with a scenic bike ride around Loon Mountain and downtown Lincoln, with the paved bike paths.
Loon Mountain Activities:
Our day started out at the LogJam Maze, a favorite from first visit in 2014. Guests can split up into teams as they put their sense of direction to the test in the maze and try to find all four letters in the word M-A-Z-E first. After running around in what seemed to be circles for a few minutes, Jonathan and I came out on top for the second year in a row.
Throughout the day the kids enjoyed bouncing around on the bouncy houses, shooting hoops in the Bunyan’s Bouncin’ Backyard, and testing their climbing skills in the SpiderWeb. The SpiderWeb is located right next to the Bungee Trampoline, so I could sit at the picnic table and watch the kids go back and forth between the two attractions.
The Climbing Wall is also located close by, next to the Bungee Trampolines. There are four different sections for the climbing wall that go from beginner to more advanced.
Loon Mountain Gondola Ride
In the afternoon we look a trip to Loon’s Summit on New Hampshire’s Longest Scenic Skyride. Once at top, we ordered lunch at the Summit Cafe, climbed the Observation Tower and saw some amazing views of the mountain range. On our first visit, we completely missed the summit glacial caves so we made sure to stop by during our visit. The kids enjoyed squeezing in between and crawling through the caves.

Back at the base of Loon Mountain , we discovered that Jonathan weighed enough to do the zip-line this year, we still have at least a 2 year wait until Trevor hits the fifty pound mark.
Bike Rentals
We ended our visit with a scenic bike ride around Loon Mountain and downtown Lincoln, with the paved bike paths. We stopped in downtown Lincoln for some ice cream before heading back to Loon Mountain. A two-hour bike rental with helmet is included in the Loon Mountain Adventure pass which is the highlight of the trip for each of the boys, they love being able to go on a bike ride with Mom & Dad.
We look forward to making a visit to Loon Mountain again once the boys get a little taller and are able to go on the Aerial Forest Adventure Park. Unlike amusement parks in New Hampshire, there is little to no line in order to participate in each of the attractions. The longest wait was for the zip-line, as everyone has to get fitted for a harness.
